CNC Programmer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our growing team. That person will be capable of creating CNC machining programs with Mastercam and ensuring that the production is cost effective, on time, of quality and to the highest of industry standards.

About You

  • Strong knowledge of Mastercam and CAD/ CAM programming. 
  • Be able to interpret dimensions from drawings. 
  • Provide technical support to production. 
  • Generate part process documentation. 
  • Collaborate on inspection criteria and address manufacturing issues. 
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Working to tight deadlines to ensure worktops go out in a timely manner. 
  • Be able to work on own initiative with the ability to manage own workload, and work well within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. 
  • Maintain a tidy work area, clean/maintain machinery and tools. 
  • Proven experience within a factory environment.

CNC Setter Operator

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Setter Operator to join our growing team. That person will be capable of setting up CNC production machines to meet internal and customer requirements, maintaining quality and safety standards/requirements, maintaining records, equipment, and supplies.

About You

  • Set up production machines to meet customer orders. 
  • Able to plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, material specifications, drawings, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting dimensions and tolerances. 
  • Experienced in installing and setting tools, attachments, collets, boring bars, turn tools, and stops. 
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. 
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufactures instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions. 
  • Completes production and quality records. 
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area.

CNC Miller

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Miller to join our growing team. That person will be capable of setting and running machining centres to produce quality parts to specification checking their own work using a variety of measuring equipment.

About You

Essential skills and experience
  • Offline or partial offline programming using CAD / CAM software. 
  • Experience setting and operating CNC machining centres
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings. 
  • Self-inspecting work
Desirable skills and experience
  • Star sliding head machine experience.

Engineering Production Planner

Job Description

Are you an experienced production planner looking for an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced working environment? If you know how to engage with stakeholders and have a good understanding of production requirements, we want you to join us. As a Engineering Production Planner, you will play an important role in our manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient planning and scheduling across various production activities including machining, laser cutting, folding, fabrication, and electrical/mechanical build.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Materials and Resources Management:
  • Establish and maintain an Xcel-based Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system for Laser and CNC Sections. 
  • Coordinate timely delivery of materials, generate stock reports, and conduct regular stock takes. 
  • Analyse production specifications and manufacturing data and establish material, tools, and human resource requirements to achieve the overall manufacturing plan and weekly schedules.
2. Production Tracking and Coordination:
  • Monitor production progress for each Work Order (WO) and facilitate movement of parts between different departments. 
  • Prioritise machine part scheduling according to production priorities and organise machining of spare parts. 
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
3. Process Improvement and Documentation:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and update manufacturing plans accordingly.
4. Performance Monitoring and Communication:
  • Develop and track performance metrics to optimise production efficiency. 
  • Hold team meetings to review performance and identify improvements. 
  • Communicate with section leaders to understand obstacles to production.

  • Previous experience in a Planning/Scheduling role
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems 
  • Engineering manufacturing related qualification

  • Mechanical engineering graduating in 2024 or recent graduates with less than 2 years of experience
  • Excellent 3D CAD skills, preferably SolidWorks
