Due to being a small business, we have no specific data protection officer but the Managing Director takes overall responsibility for customer privacy.

Millitec requires certain personal information to be able to carry out our business. The data we collect includes names, business addresses, business phone numbers, mobile phone numbers, business bank account details, shipping addresses, IP addresses. We collect this data via email, websites, telephone, verbal conversations, business cards, website enquiry forms, cookies, invoices.

- What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?
Millitec process personal data legally using consent, whereby the end user has opted in to receive communications; contract, whereby the business contract between the persons must be processed to enable business to take place and legitimate interest, whereby Millitec believe that a company will have a legitimate interest in the content that is received to their personal/business contact. Where contacts are processed by Millitec, the person has an unquestionable right to opt out at any time and this will be made an easy process. The person may request to have ALL of their data erased at any time, although must understand this could hinder business relations.

Millitec treats personal data confidentially and will never share your data with any external company or agency that is not strictly business related to Millitec. We will never sell your data. Data may be shared with employees of Millitec across various departments, such as sales, marketing, admin, finance and dispatch. This is necessary to undertake our daily business.

Data is stored in the UK at Millitec head office using password protected servers. This data is not stored or transferred outside of the UK. Certain data is only accessible to directors and financial staff. Business data will be stored for as long as we believe we have an opportunity for business relations with that company. Data relating to orders and invoices will be stored indefinitely for business accounting. Any person who wishes to be removed from our database or mailing list will be erased.

You reserve the right at all times to review any data that Millitec keeps about you, request to be removed from databases or mailing list, request to be forgotten completely or request data to be updated. All marketing email correspondence will provide an easy to use opt-out option that you may use at any time. This will not remove you from our business database, just marketing related emails.
