Millitec has achieved a significant milestone by securing the prestigious Sammies 2020 British Sandwich Association New Product Award.
The award recognises the groundbreaking "igene" robot, considered to be the first-ever high-care food processing robot that is portable.
A REVOLUTION IN FOOD PROCESSING
Millitec's sandwich lidding robot is proudly designed and built in the Midlands. Earlier this year, this machine was launched to streamline sandwich production. It can mimic the size and agility of a human worker on a production line while being completely portable, making it exceptionally adaptable to changing production requirements.
CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE
Managing Director Richard Ledger expressed his excitement, stating,
A COMMITMENT TO INNOVATION
Millitec is committed to advancing automation and artificial intelligence in food processing. Richard emphasises that this award marks just the beginning of "igene's" journey.
The company continuously develops both software and hardware to enhance flexibility for customers. Initially, "igene" was launched with the ability to place bread onto sandwiches. Today, thanks to state-of-the-art machine vision systems, it can select ingredients, position them precisely, stack cut sandwiches, and soon, it will even package them.
INNOVATION IN AUTOMATION
"igene" showcases Millitec's dedication to advancing food processing technology. Its portability, adaptability, and growing capabilities promise to revolutionise the industry and set new standards for efficiency and precision.
Millitec's well-deserved recognition with the Sammies 2020 New Product Award is a testament to their commitment to innovation and excellence.
