Millitec, as a Midlands-based leader in high-care robotics and manufacturing, is harnessing its 15 years of expertise to contribute to the global battle against COVID-19.
We developed ICU (Intensive Care Unit) ventilators and home-use ventilators that generate oxygen. Remarkably, these life-saving devices will be made available to the NHS on a not-for-profit basis.
REVOLUTIONSING HOME-USE VENTILATORS
With a rich history of high-care manufacturing and robotics, Millitec is committed to significantly impacting the fight against the pandemic. Leveraging our experience and innovation, we have embarked on developing a range of ventilators for both ICU and non-ICU settings. Importantly, these ventilators will be provided to the NHS at cost, emphasising our commitment to supporting healthcare professionals during this critical time.
One standout feature of Millitec's non-ICU ventilator is its built-in oxygen concentrator. This innovation eliminates the reliance on heavy oxygen tanks, making it feasible for individuals to self-isolate in the comfort of their homes. This advancement reduces the burden on healthcare facilities and enhances the safety and care options for patients recovering from COVID-19.
PROACTIVE APPROACH TO VENTILATOR PRODUCTION
Recognising the situation's urgency, Millitec immediately began seeking government support. They have proactively begun work on ventilators to speed up production, demonstrating their commitment to saving lives. Richard Ledger, the Managing Director of Millitec, emphasised the company's determination to make a difference, saying,
CALLING FOR EXPERT GUIDANCE
Millitec recognises the critical importance of ventilators and seeks expert support to guide them through medical testing. They collaborate with local manufacturers with production capacity available due to furloughed operations, poised to ensure rapid large-scale production.
Millitec's proactive and compassionate approach exemplifies the spirit of unity and innovation needed to combat the pandemic in these challenging times. Our ventilators represent a ray of hope for those affected by COVID-19 and are a testament to the power of expertise, determination, and collaboration in the face of adversity.
