The British Sandwich Association (BSA) hosts a highly anticipated competition to crown the Sandwich Designer of the Year every year. Millitec is stepping into the culinary arena this year, ready to showcase our sandwich craftsmanship.
UNLEASHING CREATIVITY
In the world of sandwiches, this competition is the highest recognition. Participants aim to create innovative and delicious sandwiches to win the Sandwich Designer of the Year award.

The competition is divided into six exciting categories, each featuring a sponsored ingredient. From pomegranate and mango chutney to shredded duck leg meat and fiery Mexican chilli cheese, the possibilities are as diverse as they are delicious.
The rules are simple yet brimming with creative potential: contestants can employ any ingredients, bread varieties, and cooking or presentation methods. However, there's one essential requirement—each entry must incorporate at least one of the supplied ingredients. In fact, competitors have the opportunity to submit up to two recipes for each of the sponsored ingredients.
THE WINNING CREATION

Among the standouts were sandwiches featuring duck with pomegranate and mango chutney and Applewood cheese paired with Italian hams.
Our winning entries emerged after a lively hour of sandwich scrutiny and deliberation. Notable creations included a panini featuring roasted chicken breast, mozzarella, tomato, pesto, and a white toasted bagel adorned with honey-roasted ham, baby spinach, rocket salad, and Mexicana cheese.
Our entries are being judged, and we await the results. Millitec may progress to the regional heats in March. Stay tuned for updates on our sandwich journey!
