Millitec Expands with £1.2 Million Investment in Draycott, Derbyshire.

Millitec Food Systems, a food processing machinery manufacturer based in the Midlands, has invested £1.2 million to establish a production facility in Draycott, Derbyshire.

Founded in 2005, Millitec Food Systems Ltd. has established itself as a global leader in designing and manufacturing high-care food processing machinery and robotics. Our product range includes ultrasonic cutters, depositors, conveyors, and specialised robotics, catering to a diverse clientele worldwide.

THE SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT LOCATION

Millitec sought to expand its operations and chose Draycott, Derbyshire, due to its excellent infrastructure, transportation facilities, and skilled workforce.

This strategic move is expected to create 12 new job opportunities in the area, spanning roles such as Mechanical Design Engineers, Machine Vision/Robotics Specialists, and CNC Machinists.

Richard Ledger, the Managing Director of Millitec Food Systems Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm for this pivotal move, stating, 

We’re thrilled to be moving to our all-new site in Draycott. We have spent some time developing the site in line with our requirements for our ongoing expansion plans in the region. We have invested in the highest specification equipment, including ultra-precise laser cutting machinery and an all-new machining facility. This will allow us to grow rapidly across the next three years as we expand our range of machines and robotics for the food industry. I’m also pleased to be heading home, having grown up in the region.

STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES

Building small

The newly established site in Draycott boasts a range of cutting-edge facilities to support Millitec's mission for innovation and growth. These facilities include a dedicated design studio with state-of-the-art design equipment, a 3D print studio, a high-care robotics lab, a clean room, a CNC Machine shop, a blast room, and laser cutting machinery.

The £1.2 million investment received valuable support from the Invest in Derbyshire service, further reinforcing the collaborative efforts to promote economic growth in the region.
